Joanne graduated from RMIT’s Chinese medicine program in 2008 after completing her internship in Nanjing, China. She went on to practise Chinese medicine in regional Victoria, during which time she developed a special interest in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. This path eventually led her to return to university to study physiotherapy. Joanne graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Since that time, Joanne has been lucky enough to have a range of experiences, from hospital rehabilitation settings, aged care, sporting clubs and private practice. She has a passion to empower her clients to understand their bodies and any injuries preventing them from achieving their movement goals, especially spinal and pelvic girdle pain related issues. Using a combination of manual skills and exercise based therapy, Joanne hopes to give people the tools to achieve their goals to stay injury free. Prevention is much better than cure.
Outside work, Joanne loves to run, hike and ski, but at the end of the day, having time outside with her husband, son and puppy dog brings her the most joy!
