Cathy enjoys working with her clients to empower them to improve their health and wellbeing through exercise based interventions. She is passionate about health, and subscribes to lifelong learning. She is always interested to learn more about the many facets of health, and strives to be able to provide a holistic model of care that is patient centred and reflects best practice.

Cathy is an ‘APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist’ and Polestar Pilates Certified Rehab Pilates Instructor. She has worked in both private and hospital settings in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Cathy moved from Melbourne to join the team in Albury and Wangaratta, and is available for both physiotherapy appointments and clinical equipment / pilates sessions. Prior to moving to Albury, Cathy and husband Nic were co-directors of Winter Sports Physiotherapy – a physiotherapy and pilates clinic within the O’Brien Group Icehouse (the premier Ice Sports facility in Australia, and home of the Australian Olympic Winter Institute) at the Docklands in Melbourne. She has extensive sports physiotherapy experience including involvement at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Cathy has also consulted with OWIA world cup ski cross, and has been the team physiotherapist for Victorian gymnastics and hockey teams.

Cathy’s special interests include exercise based management of injuries and problems, as well as traumatic and biomechanical knee conditions, lumbo-pelvic dysfunction, neck conditions and women’s health physiotherapy. Cathy has been involved in a range of education and research activities through her career. She is currently engaged in research management of anterior cruciate ligament injuries post surgery as a part of the SUPER Knee study running through La Trobe Sports and Exercise Sports Medicine Centre.

Cathy is an avid skier and snowboarder and met her now husband while working as an instructor at Mount Hotham Snowsports School. They now have three children together and have moved to the area in part to facilitate more trips to the snow!
