Why choose our running assessments?

Our running services are designed to support your individual running goals by assessing the key factors that influence performance and impact your recovery. An individualised plan is then created to support you to train smarter, run stronger and helps you:

  • Improve running efficiency and technique
  • Reduce the risk of common running injuries (shin splints, knee pain, plantar fasciitis)
  • Build strength, core stability, and resilience
  • Achieve sustainable long-term performance gains

Expert guidance you can trust

Your program will be guided by our expert team. With extensive experience in running biomechanics and performance training, our team provides evidence-based strategies to ensure you train effectively and safely, no matter your starting point.

Our Biomechanics Running Assessments provide an in-depth analysis of your running technique, posture, gait, and overall biomechanics.

Using high-quality video analysis, we can identify imbalances or inefficiencies in your stride. From there, our qualified exercise physiologist will provide individualised education and practical strategies to help you run more efficiently, improve performance, and reduce your risk of injury.

A Biomechanics Running Assessment is valuable for runners of all levels, not just elite athletes, and is suitable for those who:

FAQs

Do I need to be an experienced runner to book a running assessment?

Not at all! Our programs are designed for runners of all levels – from complete beginners to experienced athletes. We tailor everything to suit your individual needs and current fitness level.

Can this help me recover from a running-related injury?

Yes. Our team are trained in injury management and rehabilitation. If you’re recovering from an injury, we’ll design a safe, progressive return-to-running program suited to your recovery stage.

How often should I come in for progress assessments?

We typically recommend reassessments every 4–6 weeks to monitor progress, review goals, and make program adjustments. However, this can vary based on your needs and goals.

Do I need any special equipment or gear for the sessions?

Just bring your usual running shoes and wear comfortable activewear. If you currently use orthotics or running aids, bring those along too.

In many cases, yes. As this service is delivered by an Accredited exercise physiologist or physiotherapist, it may be claimable through your private health fund. We recommend checking with your provider.
