What is the Walkin’ About Program?
Did you know that if you have been diagnosed with diabetes you may be eligible for funded exercise, healthy eating and education programs?
The Walkin’ About program focuses on prescribing exercise and making healthy eating decisions to assist in the management of your diabetes.
At Flexout Health we proudly work together with the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) and Charles Sturt University (CSU) to run this community based exercise, healthy eating and education program.

Yes. AWAHS will arrange for a GP referral to be completed for you before beginning the program.

Yes. Bookings for Walkin’ About are essential. Please talk to your GP at AWAHS for more information about enrolling in the program.
Walkin’ About is fully subsidised through AWAHS, CSU and Medicare.
The Walkin’ About program is a 10 week exercise, healthy eating and education program. It involves group exercise sessions, cook ups and health team support from AWAHS, CSU and Flexout Health.
